Hospitality Guild"Each of us was given grace according to the measure of Christ's gifts." -Ephesians 4:7Anyone who comes to the undercroft after a Sunday service at the cathedral has enjoyed the fruit of the labors of the Hospitality Guild. Each Sunday, hospitality hour is the responsibility of a team of three to five people. The cathedral has a standing order with Servatii's Bakery for doughnuts, tea loaves and other baked goods. Another supplier furnishes summer sausage, cheese and crackers. The hospitality team, whose work is coordinated by the chair of the day, supplements these items with their contributions. Guild members seek to provide a welcoming atmosphere to everyone who comes to hospitality hour. While serving punch, they meet and greet all who are there, paying particular attention to visitors, encouraging them to return. Service on the Hospitality Guild is a
wonderful way to become involved in the life of the cathedral. It is a
way to assist to extend a welcoming hand to friends and strangers
alike. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact Constance Sanders or Jane Thompson. |
