January 20: Preparing for Future Ohio: New Initiative to Advocate for Adequate Funding for Public Schools in Cincinnati and Ohio; presenters to include: Burt Ruhr, president of the League of Women Voters; Charles Wallner, local chair of Prepare the Future/Ohio; Rolanda Smith executive director of Parents for Public Schools; Laure Quinlivan, Cincinnati city council member and chair of the City's Quality of Life Committee
Although most Americans have benefited by attending public primary and high schools, their adult involvement in public education is usually minimal and abstract. The speakers at this forum believe that a solid citizen base needs to be created to support and improve public education locally and across the state. As usual, time will be set aside for questions and comments from the audience.
